Hindi decodable readers: picture stories for a first reader.
Each story uses only the letters and vowel signs taught up to that reader, plus a few whole words that the adult page at the back lists. Reader 1 starts with twelve letters, the short a and the vowel आ. Each reader after it adds one new vowel sign, in the order the Class 1 and Class 2 Hindi workbooks teach them. Read the story twice: once slowly for accuracy, once for flow.

Practice with real Hindi words for steps 1 to 5, in the same order as the readers: word lists, look-say-cover-write sheets, cut-out cards for 13 very common whole words, sentences from the readers and a tracking chart. There are no pictures, so the child reads the word.
More readers follow, one new sign at a time. They are not on sale yet and no date is set. The stories are original to Paperchime. The text was checked by script and against the Central Hindi Directorate spelling standard. It has not been reviewed by a Hindi reading specialist, so sit with the child and listen as they read.
